4,240 of the 8,113 stations seen during the week changed at least one price.
The cheapest unleaded in the UK on Sunday 18 October 2026 was 157.9p at Maxol Bryansburn, Bangor (BT20 3RQ); the most expensive was 209.9p at Mackenzie Stores, Portree (IV51 9JS), a gap of 52.0p, or £26.00 on a 50-litre tank.
The cheapest diesel was 181.9p at Yorkgate Centre Superstore - Petrol Filling Station, Belfast (BT15 1WA).
Among the towns of the UK, unleaded fell most in Dudley (down 7.7p to 174.5p), Wakefield (down 6.5p to 170.2p), Airdrie (down 3.8p to 172.7p) and rose most in Grimsby (up 5.8p to 170.6p), Hereford (up 2.0p to 175.1p), Ballymena (up 1.1p to 166.9p).
"Drivers in the UK paid 0.8p less for a litre of unleaded this week. On a 50-litre tank, that is £0.40 less than a week earlier. The gap between the cheapest and the dearest forecourt in the UK is 52.0p, so where you fill up still matters more than when." said Jacky A., editor of fuelpricetoday.co.uk.

How the figures are computed
Each average is the mean of the prices changed in the last 7 days at the filling stations of the UK, motorway services left out and prices more than 25p from the day's median discarded. The cheapest and most expensive stations are judged against the stations within 10 km, so that a typing error cannot top the list. The week runs from Monday to Sunday. Details on how this site works.
