The weekly change compares the same 82 filling stations with an unleaded price on both days, so a station dropping out of the figures does not move it.
297 of the 585 stations seen during the week changed at least one price.
The cheapest unleaded in Northern Ireland on Sunday 11 October 2026 was 157.9p at Maxol Bryansburn, Bangor (BT20 3RQ); the most expensive was 179.9p at Aughrim Filling Station, Magherafelt (BT45 8HB), a gap of 22.0p, or £11.00 on a 50-litre tank.
The cheapest diesel was 179.9p at Go Boulevard, Banbridge (BT32 4GL).
Across the UK, unleaded was down 0.4p over the same week, at 174.1p, which puts Northern Ireland 7.6p below the national average.
Among the towns of Northern Ireland, unleaded fell most in Bangor (down 2.0p to 165.2p), Banbridge (down 1.5p to 165.3p), Dungannon (down 1.3p to 165.2p) and rose most in Armagh (up 1.3p to 167.7p), Carrickfergus (up 0.7p to 166.6p).
"Drivers in Northern Ireland paid 0.5p less for a litre of unleaded this week. On a 50-litre tank, that is £0.25 less than a week earlier. The gap between the cheapest and the dearest forecourt in Northern Ireland is 22.0p, so where you fill up still matters more than when." said Jacky A., editor of fuelpricetoday.co.uk.

How the figures are computed
Each average is the mean of the prices changed in the last 7 days at the filling stations of Northern Ireland, motorway services left out and prices more than 25p from the day's median discarded. The cheapest and most expensive stations are judged against the stations within 10 km, so that a typing error cannot top the list. The week runs from Monday to Sunday.
