3,064 of the 6,225 stations seen during the week changed at least one price.
The cheapest unleaded in England on Sunday 11 October 2026 was 161.9p at West End Road Service Station, St Helens (WA11 0AE); the most expensive was 205.0p at Island Carriers, Isles of Scilly (TR21 0JY), a gap of 43.1p, or £21.55 on a 50-litre tank.
The cheapest diesel was 185.9p at Costco Wholesale Watford, Watford (WD25 8JS), members only.
Across the UK, unleaded was down 0.4p over the same week, at 174.1p, which puts England 0.6p above the national average.
Among the towns of England, unleaded fell most in Rayleigh (down 3.3p to 175.6p), Burnley (down 3.0p to 170.7p), Paignton (down 3.0p to 171.4p) and rose most in Dudley (up 4.2p to 177.7p), Wakefield (up 2.0p to 175.1p), Slough (up 1.5p to 175.9p).
"Drivers in England paid 0.4p less for a litre of unleaded this week. On a 50-litre tank, that is £0.20 less than a week earlier. The gap between the cheapest and the dearest forecourt in England is 43.1p, so where you fill up still matters more than when." said Jacky A., editor of fuelpricetoday.co.uk.

How the figures are computed
Each average is the mean of the prices changed in the last 7 days at the filling stations of England, motorway services left out and prices more than 25p from the day's median discarded. The cheapest and most expensive stations are judged against the stations within 10 km, so that a typing error cannot top the list. The week runs from Monday to Sunday.
